2025 Medina County Community Clean-Up and Voucher Program

The Medina County Solid Waste District would like to, once again, extend an opportunity to your community to bring bulk trash, collected during a community-sponsored clean-up program OR by use of the voucher program, to the District’s facility located at 8730 Lake Road, Seville, at a reduced gate rate of $50.00 per ton.

Bulk trash includes furniture, rolled and tied old carpet and carpet padding, home repair materials, large toys, small toys, or other small household items. Yardwaste, Specialty or Hazardous Waste, or Tires are not accepted as part of the Community Clean-Up or Voucher Program. The District’s current pricing sheet and flyers about our Household Hazardous Waste and Specialty Waste programs are available on the District website, RecycleMedinaCounty.com.

This program will be in effect from April 15, 2025 through June 14, 2025 for your community’s specific clean-up program. Please contact Ann Foky, Administrative Assistant, at (330) 769-0289 or email afoky@medinacounty.gov, with your collection event information. Accounts are billed monthly. It is important that you provide us the date(s) of your collection event; the solid waste hauler you will be utilizing; and the date(s) you anticipate these vehicles will be arriving at the District’s facility for disposal.

If a community is unable to sponsor a clean-up event, the voucher program is another option to offer residents. The voucher can be utilized by a resident of your community to dispose of bulk trash at the District’s facility for the same discount rate of $50.00 per ton. One voucher per household. Please contact Ann Foky at 330-769-0289, or email afoky@medinacounty.gov for additional information on the voucher program or to request vouchers. During the open dates of program, the community can be invoiced or will be responsible to inform their residents they will pay themselves at the time of disposing of their bulk trash.

Stormwater Phase II

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OHIO EPA) has mandated a program known as National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Phase Two.

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (OHIO EPA) has mandated a program known as National Pollutant Discharge Elimination Phase Two (NPDES PH II) whose purpose is to safeguard water quality. In fulfillment of this program, on March 10, 2003, Wadsworth Township instituted a five year NPDES PH II Stormwater Plan which consists of measurable goals the Township must achieve to be in compliance. To oversee the five year plan and ensure the Township meets its goals, a stormwater commission was formed which is comprised of Township residents and the Township Trustees. This commission works closely with various Medina County agencies, especially the Medina County Soil & Water Conservation Disctrict.
